New internal works to this large Victorian terrace home refresh the atmosphere of the old, through floor finish changes and new bathroom, ensuite and walk in robe spaces. The distinction between the period sections of the home and the retained extension has been made clearer with sharply detailed wall openings at the thresholds and by exposing the extension’s concrete flood slab. Details within the new wet areas subtly reference the curves of the Victorian Architecture, and provide colour and textural interest.
The project was completed directly after purchase of the property within a short timeframe, allowing the owners to occupy a home that felt more their own.
